ANNUAL REFRESHER FIRST AID AT WORK

This first aid refresher training course is an annual refresher course. This first aid refresher training is a recommended course that makes sure that the skills you have learnt are still fresh and ready to be used. Your first aid skills must be up-to-date, especially with all of the new health safety regulations. To ensure that you remain competent at providing first aid and can react appropriately, we recommend a first aid refresher training course annually. This first aid refresher training course provides a review of first aid and refreshers for your team.  

By undergoing first aid refresher training , you will refresh your first aid and CPR skills, reducing the risk of mistakes when using them in stressful situations. First aid refresher training increases your confidence, keeps your skills sharp.

ABOUT THIS FIRST AID REFRESHER COURSE

First aid refresher training course duration – 3 hours.

Annual first aid refresher training is not a legal requirement for Company’s, but it has a proven benefit to the first aider at the moment of need, the HSE strongly recommend that this first aid refresher training course should be undertaken, ABC Training Services and The Association of First Aiders support that statement.

There is no formal examination, continual assessment of skill during the first aid refresher training course.

In this first aid refresher training, you will get to practice real-world situations

Candidates should demonstrate their competence to:

• Assess the situation in an emergency
• Administer first aid to a casualty who is unconscious (including seizure)
• Administer cardiopulmonary resuscitation
• Administer first aid to a casualty who is wounded and bleeding
• Administer first aid to a casualty who is suffering from shock
• The use of an AED

We recommend our first aid refresher training course every year to make sure that you are still safe in the workplace and have the skills to handle any first aid situations that may arise. First aid refresher training provides the opportunity to review the skills needed to handle first aid emergencies effectively.
