There has been rapid growth in the popularity and acceptance of renewable technologies as a way of offsetting high energy costs and ensuring stability of energy supplies.
The Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS) was introduced to help ensure good quality products and installations. By setting robust standards the industry can continue to develop with confidence.
Being a registered MCS contractor enables your customers to take advantage of current government incentives such the Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI), the Smart Export Guarantee (SEG) and the Green Home Grant Voucher Scheme (GHG).
MCS covers the following technologies:
- Solar Photovoltaic (PV)
- Solar Thermal
- Heat Pumps – both ground source and air source
- Wind Turbines
- Combined Heat and Power (CHP)
Pricing for the MCS scheme is based on the number of technologies you want to be assessed in. Existing registered contractors can benefits from reduced prices by combining scheme assessments. Applicants may also benefit by gaining competent person scheme registration within the assessment cost.
